  • They will automatically be listed as you join them,

  • You can modify how your groups show on your profile by accessing the group info from your contacts tab in local chat.

  • Take a photo of yourself in some pose (photo tab should be on the bottom of the screen) a pop up window comes up with saving options, lets you refresh shot), play with it, remember it costs 10$L to upload a photo.
  • I usually save them to my hard drive (no cost) and then upload the one(s) I like, rather than uploading right from the photo window, saves getting bad shots at 10$L each.
  • To place the photo, right click on it in your inventory, and while holding move it into yhe photo spot,
• An area to write something about yourself
  • You can write what ever you want here, why you came to SL, a quote from someone famous (make sure you give the proper credit)

  • To add a new pick, go to the place you want it to be for, click the new button. Done, you have a pick
  • To make it for someone special, friends, lovers…
    • Go to any place you want to be at, doesn’t really matter because you will be changing things around and you are not after the place, but the person.
    • Make a new Pick
    • Rename it with the persons name, they are listed alphabetically (special characters come first – !@#$%^&…) so if you want Walter at the top of the list put a special character before his name.
    • Put a picture of them or you & them, or what ever you want (just like you did for your profile picture)
    • Write something about them –

• Here is where you can post a RL picture  Same as you would for your main profile page, upload a RL picture and place it in the space (or NOT)  , some people will just post a SL photo or leave it blank.

AND remember it’s your profile, fill it out the way you want to or NOT, if you really don’t want to don’t bother.  No one will be beating you up for it, but you would be amazed at the attention you get for a well designed profile.

There are several ways to access Profiles:

• Right click on the Avatar and from the pie menu pick profile
• In the Local Chat window – just double click on the persons name and you will get their profile
• To access your profile you can Rt click on your self or go to the -Edit Menu  -Profile
• Also in the local chat window if you click on the ‘double arrow” in the top right corner, you will get a list of all the people within your chat area. Highlight one of the names and a profile button in the window will become active.  (pretty cool trick, lets you see who all is there with out having to mouse over everyone or keep spinning in circles)
